Samantha's World

For anyone who don’t know what my Sammy was sitting at on the photo below, some of people from my family in China even asked me why I took this shot, and what those white sauage looking thing are. Well, that is used diaper wrapped by “Diaper Disposal”. It is kind fun to see my little one sitting on her own made wrapped diaper.

4 shots in total, two on the each leg.  They are (none of the words I know, so I just took the dictionary to translate them to the language that I can understand):

Diphtheria (白喉), Pertussis (百日咳), Tetanus (破伤风), Polio (脊髓灰质炎), Haemophilus Influenzae Type b (Hib) (血友病)

Pneumococcal conjugate (肺炎)

Hepatitis B (B型肝炎)

Meningococcal C (脑脊髓膜炎)

Sammy cried loudly during the shot, just like all other babies, but got quiet quickly afterwards. She got a little bit fever this afternoon and felt a little fussy as well.  So far, nothing is unusual, which is good.  We also bought infants Taylenol to relief her fever.  However, she didn’t seem to like it, spit almost all up, even though we bought the one that has cherry taste in it.

[Correction]: Haemophilus Influenzae Type b (Hib) is not 血友病 , it should be called B型流感嗜血杆菌疫苗. Thanks Sammy’s aunt Hui to point this out, who is a doctor specilized on Children.
